We are happy to announce the fact that we are pleased to inform you that the Higher Education Commission HEC has announced this year’s National Essay competition for the 70th Independence Day celebrations as part of the celebrations for the 70th anniversary in Pakistan. Special Initiatives is holding Inter-university Essay Writing Competitions for students in Urdu and English languages.
HEC Inter University Essay Writing Competition 2024
NACTA organizes a second national essay competition (English as well as Urdu) with the following topics that are listed in each category. The contest for essay writing is designed to stimulate Pakistani young people to consider the opportunities and issues facing Pakistan and to identify their part in the nation’s progress by fostering critical thinking, and creative and productive involvement.

HEC in collaboration with the minister responsible for federal education and professional education has launched an essay contest for students from every university and DAIs across Pakistan. It’s an excellent chance for young people to show off their amazing writing abilities and to be awarded national prizes. In honor of the anniversary celebrating 75 years of Pakistan, the Higher Education Commission in collaboration with the Ministry of Planning.
About the HEC
The Higher Education Commission a legal body created under the Government of Pakistan which create in 2002 under the chairmanship of Atta-ur Rahman. Its primary responsibilities are financing oversight, regulating, and accrediting all higher education institutions across the country.
HEC Essay Writing Competition 2024
Development & Special Initiatives will organize an inter-university Essay Writing Competition that will be conducted in Urdu as well as English languages. The deadline to submit Essays to The HEC Essay Writing Competition is August 26, 2024.

- Development Journey of Pakistan from 1947 to 2024; Lessons Learnt viz-a-viz Other Countries
- Pakistan at 2047: National Youth Aspirations
Inter-University Essay Writing Competition Prizes
The word count for essays should be 2500-3000 words. The essay should original and will examine for plagiarism. References should list at the conclusion of the paper. English Essays must typed use ‘Times New Roman size 12, Line spacing 1. English essays should write with Times New Roman, Font size 12 Line spacing 1.5 5, and converted to PDF file.
