Admission Eligibility Criteria for Punjab University 2024:
For MS/M.Phil/M.Sc. (Engg/Hons.)/MBA/M.Com/Equivalent:
Fulfillment of department-specific eligibility criteria is mandatory.
Possession of a BS (Hons.) 4 years/M.A./M.Sc./B.Sc (Hons.) 4 years/B.Sc. (Engg) degree or equivalent from an HEC-recognized University.
Minimum 16 years of education post-HSSC/F.A./F.Sc/Grade 12 or Equivalent (120 credit hours).
Consistent academic performance without any third division throughout the academic career.
Admission test and interview process require a minimum qualifying mark of 50%.
For Ph.D.: Category A:
Minimum CGPA of 3.00 in MS/M.Phil./M.Sc. (Engg/Hons.) or equivalent, or alternatively, first division (60%) in the annual system.
No third division in the academic career.
Candidates without a thesis in MS/MPhil/equivalent can apply but need 06 credit hours of research thesis.
Admission test requires a minimum qualifying mark of 60%, and the interview process necessitates a minimum qualifying mark of 50%.
For Ph.D.: Category B:
Minimum CGPA below 3.00 in MS/M.Phil./M.Sc. (Engg/Hons.) or equivalent, or alternatively, first division (60%) in the annual system.
No third division in the academic career.
Additional courses of 9-12 CH of level 7 are required in the zero semester with a minimum 3.00 GPA out of 4.00.
Candidates without a thesis in MS/MPhil/equivalent can apply but need 06 credit hours of research thesis.
Admission test requires a minimum qualifying mark of 60%, and the interview process necessitates a minimum qualifying mark of 50%.
